This week sees the release of the debut album by Swann, "Neverending" on the Atmosphériques label and which was produced by Rob . Swann is also on tour to promote the record, including many dates supporting Tom McRae (http://www.tommcrae.com) throughout Europe and with numerous dates in the UK. January 14th sees Swann release her first EP "Show me your love" with three of the four tracks produced by Rob. The EP also features a pretty striking cover of Frank Zappa's "Bobby Brown" produced by Swann herself and with a self-directed video viewable here. A full length album also produced by Rob will be released on the Atmospheriques label in France and distributed through Sony/ Orchard in the UK and elsewhere in early Spring, more news on that nearer the time. Whilst Rob was touring with Cold Specks in Europe this last October he was invited to join one of his big heroes Damo Suzuki of Can on stage, and so became an official Suzuki Soundcarrier for 45 minutes. You can view the concert here

Cold Specks released new single Hector yesterday (Halloween) and accompanied it with this very appropriate video. Cold Specks are currently on a North American tour, where Rob will soon be joining them starting at the Mercury Lounge in New York on the 8th Nov through to Schubas in Chicago on the 29th. Congratulations to Feist for winning the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, really great album. Although she didn't win it was a superb achievement for Cold Specks to have made the short list.
